Introduction to the Spinal Cord Injured person

Every 2 hours, a person in the UK experiences a life changing injury to their spinal cord.

These injuries can happen to anyone, at any time, not just from road accidents and falls, but from infection, strokes, genetic predisposition and complications of other life saving medical interventions.

Understanding the complications that SCI can cause allows you to support, treat and tune your business, whether a clinical practice or not, to better meeting their needs.

The course is taught by someone with many years experience treating and supporting SCI patients in a world leading NHS rehabilitation centre, and covers all the major areas of concern.

It is not aimed at the specialist treatment of a cord injured person, and all care decisions should be made in conjunction with their consultant. It is aimed at education, awareness and reassurance, so that you can offer a more inclusive, diverse and supportive practice.

Half day course.
